Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

My husband and I just signed a lease for an apartment yesterday but were not able to go inside until move in day. It was completely painted. The fumes from the paint are so strong we went and bought $400 worth of ion air cleaners. There not helping. We have every window opened and fans going too. The fumes are making us feel ill. The VOC's in paint are harmful to health. Do we have any legal rights to get out of our lease because of this problem. These fumes could last for months. I have a bad headache, nausea and couldn't get through the night.

Yes. Go to your doctor and get report. Call Dept of Health. Send 7 notice to your LL to cure.
