Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Tenant/Landlord Issue

At the end of April I signed a lease

for a condo and gave $1450 for my

first and last months rent. A

couple days after signing the lease

I was informed that I may lose my

job. I immediately contacted my

future landlord to tell him that I

would not be able to fulfill my end

of the lease. I informed him 5 days

before the lease was set to take

effect. He is not cooperating in

giving me back any of the money I

gave him for first/last months rent.

Do I have any legal options?

Re: Tenant/Landlord Issue

You should review your lease to determine what options you have. The lease is a contract that you entered into, and it determines your remedies.
