Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

object left in back

22 years ago I had plastic surgery to improve the appearance of a birth defect on my lower back. I recently had plastic surgey on the same area because 2 wounds of an unknown origin opened on my back. At my follow up appointment with the surgeon I was told that there was a piece of rubber in my back that had caused the wounds. The Dr who did the first surgery and probably left the piece of rubber in my back is still in practice. Is there anything that can be done?

Re: object left in back

Unfortunately, in Florida, too much time has passed for you to bring a claim when the malpractice act ocurred 22 years ago.
