Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

If a Detective on a criminal case lies multiple times under oath, in his Statement of Facts, in order to obtain a search warrant, can the department he works for or he himself be held responsible for the damages caused? (ie. loss of job, retirement, reputation)

This is a tricky question to answer. Did the detective lie under oath or was he wrong/mistaken? What evidence do you have that he lied under oath (ie your word against his or do you have something more)? If he was found to have lied and as a result you suffered a financial loss, you could potentially have a case against his police agency. I would consult a lawyer in your area for more information.
