Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Changing locks

I owned a home with a friend which I recently bought out. The ''friend'' now refuses to leave. Everything is in my name ie deed, mortgage, bills etc. I gave them notice (I created my own, not from the court) to be out in 30 days, well, the 30 days has expired and they are still here. If I change the locks, while they are out of the house, am I risking any legal issues from them?

Re: Changing locks

You can't legally change the locks. You need to follow the eviction process. Hopefully, your notice will comply with Florida eviction law.
