Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Condo alterations (interior)

I own a condo in Fl. I just replaced my vertical blinds with minishades. The associations is telling me to take them down and replace with verticals again. It is actually in the bi-laws for the association from 1991, but someone told me they cannot dictate interior decorating, especially since I paid for it. Do I have anything I can argue?
