Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Contracts?

My mother and I found a home in Orange City. On the day my mother mailed the contract, we found out that the road the house is on is unpassable. The builder drove me down another road and around to the house. The house is on fifth street, but fifth street is unmaintained and a goat path. We verbally cancelled the contract the same day it was mailed out. Plus it says we must have proper ingress and egress to our house and we don't. They also were supposed to return a fully signed by all parties contract to my mother in Georgia by 09/20/02 and they did not fulfill this section. We verbally cancelled the contract before they received it. Now Renar is saying they are going to ''force'' us to buy the house. My mother is terminally ill and medical personnel could not travel that road nor could emergency vehicles.

What are our rights in this situation?

Re: Contracts?

I doubt they can enforce anything but I would have to read the contract. Good luck.

Re: Contracts?

Based upon your staement, there is little the seller can do. Nonethess, the contract needs to be reviewed by counsel in order to provide you with a better response.
