Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Lease Property in Foreclosure

We have a lease until 04/09 but the property is in foreclosure. Our contract states that we are responsible for payments until property is rented. We just signed our lease on 05/08 and have been receiving notices from landlords bank from the beginning. Is there a way to we can get out of our lease due to the landlords financial issue? We feel there was deception on his part at the time the lease was presented and signed by us.

Yes. You may seek legal termination. In the mean time pay your rent into court.
