Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Am I required by law to provide a key to my unit to the condo association? They are not permitted to do work in the individual units for private owners, I also live on the first floor and the only common area we have is our patio. My wife and I have stated we will be more than happy to provide access to our unit upon request and if there is a emegency we will pay for the damage caused by them having to force their way into our unit. They responded with a letter sstating according to the docs they were entitled to a key for emergency use and if there were an emergency they would not be liable for the damage anyway. Since we are a few owners and one real estate developer who owns approximately 170 units what ever they want they just vote in and it has been brought to my attention that there has been a few incidents where someone with key has gone into units and stole property. The police wont file a report because there was no forced entry and because of this I dont feel safe giving them a key what are my options?
