Legal Question in Tax Law in Florida

I received a sign on bonus but I had to leave my employment before the contract was finished. Now my employer is asking for the full amount back when in fact I only received part of that money and some of it were sent to the IRS for taxes. What should I do?

You should have a lawyer look at the contract. As a general matter, if the employer paid out the entire signing bonus, and you left before the contract period finished, then the employer may be entitled to return of the entire bonus.
