Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

So I forgot to register my car. It was less then a month. I lent the car to my son who was stopped. He was issued a ticket for not having the reg and was told as long as he or I took a valid reg to the clerk it would only be $10. They charged me $111 saying that it was not reg on the day of the ticket. The ticket says if the reg is less then 6 months late I would only be charged cost. Is the cost $111???

You are lucky that you weren't charged criminally. Every county is slightly different in court costs for tickets, but $111 sounds about right. If you didn't have a valid registration on the vehicle at the time of the stop, then it is not legal, even if you go get a valid registration that same day.
