Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

I was involved in a traffic stop and did not have my license at all. I got issued with a citation (two yellow slips) with no price. When it was time to go to court I was in the hospital for a serious infection and could not attend my court date and did not know what to do after that. I was a minor at the time age 16 but I am 18 now and ever since the incident i haven't received any notification as to where to go or what to do. Please feel free to state opinions and facts, thank you.

I'm sure if you had contacted the court at the time when you were in the hospital, they would probably would have continued the matter. Now, that point is irrelevant. The worse news is that if you've been driving since then, your license undoubtedly has been suspended and you could go to jail. However, if you take care of the tickets (assuming these were not criminal traffic citations), the DMV will reinstate your driving privilege. Now if these are criminal traffic, you probably have an outstanding warrant, which you will need an attorney to take care of that, but that's a whole other story. My advice, take care of it now before you get arrested.
