Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I have been in a relationship with a man that is married to another woman. He and I have lived together for 15 yrs. If he were to pass away could half of everything he owns with me become hers? I am asking because we own a home on an acre of property together jointly. Both names are on the deed as well as the mobile home we reside in.

Depends on the property and it depends on the EXACT language on the deed and other paperwork; but yes, there's distinct possibility that she would get what he owns if he dies. You should probably take the paperwork to a lawyer to let them look at it.

If you own it "jointly with right of survivorship", entire ownership would go to the survivor.

As Mr. Slater pointed out you could do it this way, however, be prepared for a suit for marital assets that were depleted from the marriage via your adulterous affair. You would be wise to have the Mr. get a divorce pronto.
