Auto Accident While Punched In.

I was coming back from a company meeting in my car and ran over a tire retread on the highway. The result was the oil filter being pulled off the engine the engine's oil disapearing and the result is a new motor for my car. Since I was on the clock when the accident occured, is my company responsible for any of my deductible or a rental car?

No, unless you have an employment contract that specifically covers this type of reimbursement. If they have a policy of reimbursment based on mileage then that is the limit of what you can expect. Since the damage was caused by an accident, your auto insurance could cover the repair. Go ahead and ask your employer to reimburse you for the deductible. They are not obligated to but it may not hurt to politely ask.
