Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

I completed a project and billed the project before my work comp coverage was cancelled . The project paid out 2 weeks after my policy ran out they are telling me I owe workcomp for the work I billed

sorry but this question makes no sense. more details are needed. you should reach out to the carrier for clarification. are you billed per project or for specific time frames, that may be the problem.
