Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia

Remodeling Contractor packed up his tools.

I tired of pre-paying for goods and services and failed promises. He then delivered a trumped up laundry list of backdated invoices. Most of these items related to construction damages and original demo.

This is a large scope project, which I entrusted to an "expert". He managed to chase these draws and get paid without finishing these projects. He got me.

He left my home in a dirty, unsecure and dangerous condition.

He obviously has no intention of completing this project. And I do know that I will need a good lawyer, but for argument sake, try these on:

1. Can I have him arrested? - failing to deliver material goods and services (windows and doors) which caused mold damage.

2. If I complete projects which he is the permit holder on, do I breach the contract?

3. How do I formally establish that he breached the contract?

4. Can he lien my home for failure to pay these invoices?

No one here knows the terms of your contract -- the most important item -- and you did not provide any. Your questions can't be answered, except that a breach of contract is not grounds for arrest. If so, the contractor might say you breached the contract and have you arrested.
