Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia

Signed contract

I got an estimate from a roofing company. They quoted a price for a new roof with 25 year shingles and another price if i wanted 30 year (arch.) shingles. I said i wanted the lifetime shingles. The salesman said no problem but we will have to add another fee for these. I ask him to please work it up; so he did. We discussed and he had me come in to sign the contract and set the date for the work to be done. These were special order shingles so they had to be ordered. The work was scheduled 3 weeks out. A week or so goes by and the salesman calls me and says he made a mistake and the company would need to add $1400. To the price of the roof.

Please advise.

Re: Signed contract

You refer to a "signed contract" but say nothing about it terms, what it says about changes, whether it says anything at all, etc. Without that information (or the actual document), you can't get a meaningful response. You also say nothing about the response of the salesman when you raised the issue of the contract with him.
