Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

golf ball damage

I hit a golf ball off of tee box at a golf course. The golf ball hooked into a parking lot that is parralel to the hole and broke a car windsheild. The parking lot is not part of the golf facility

Am I responsible for the damages to the car window?

Re: golf ball damage

It is hard to say definitively and without knowing all of the facts, but there is a good possibility that the driver or the car assumed the risk that a golfer might mis-hit a ball and it would strike his car. If that is deemed to be the case, then no, you would not be liable.
