Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Past criminal background

I want to begin school ; to study law, or law enforcement .... i'm not totally sure if i can ...when i was 18 i was arrested and charged with fraudulent use of a credit card (felony), burglary to an auto (felony), and theft(felony) all in one case , but still 3 seperate charges. I participated in P.T.I. and passed. Is there anyway i could go into the legal profession, or law enforcement profession with that in my past? Is there anyway to have those charges removed from my record? I have been in no trouble since then, and am 30 yrs old now. i really want to study to be a paralegal.

Re: Past criminal background

You can't remove the convictions, but you would have a chance to explain them to the bar committee and it would be up to them whether to let you take the bar.

If you would like to discuss any issues further, please feel free to contact my office. My contact information is below. Thank you.
