Re: Dui

If you have been charged with a DUI and you fail to appear on your scheduled court date your bond will be forfeited and a warrant for your arrest will be issued. When you are located by law enforcement or the bonding company representative (ie, bounty hunter) you will be immediately arrested and held in jail until such time as you are taken before a judge. YOu will, in all probability have to post another bond and you will probably be charged with contemp of court. If you have found yourself in this situation it would be in your best interest to talk with an attorney and make arrangements to turn yourself to the authorities before you are picked up!
