Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child visitation

My ex-wife and I got divorced in GA. My son was about 1 at the time. My ex was named as the custodial parent and I had normal visitation rights. About a year later, she decided to move to VA with my son. She had no family in VA, no new spouse, or no better paying job. She just transfered with her current job...an average paying job. For several years I drove back and forth so I could see him but when he started school it got tougher to do. Now, I am remarried and we have moved to VA to be close to him. We left my family and my wife's entire family behind for this. We are not happy up here and would like to move back but I can't stand the thought of not seeing my son. What can we do?

Re: Child visitation

You do not state any facts to show that your ex-wife is doing anything improperly or that your son is not made available to you. Getting past the comments about her income, you merely state that seeing him is not convenient for you, and you do not want to live closer to him. Those are not legal issues, they are your preferences.
