Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I have a civil union in VT and I live in Georgia, I have no contatact to my ex-domestic partner and I would like to know if Georgia will dissolve a civil union from Vermont?

It's never been decided if a divorce could be done where another state allowed gay marriage (as opposed to a civil union), but there's no civil union law in Georgia, which complicates things.

Potentially, you might try an annulment here. Again that's an untested theory.
