Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I was court ordered in a divorce settlement to finish paying for a house and give it to my wife. I was in default at the bank with another loan. They foreclosed on that loan and in doing so took the other house in order to satisfy the amount of the other loan. My question is will that put me in contempt of court?

Possibly. You should have seen a lawyer before that happened as tehre may have been steps that you could have taken legally to make contempt less likely. Waiting until after a legal emergency happens and then thinking about lawyers is way too late and usually ups your legal fees. But since you already made that mistake, don't make a second. See a lawyer ASAP.
