Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Medical Support Question

My ex was ordered to pay medical insurance for our son, but cut it off. He claims he got it changed by an attorney because he doesn't make enough money. I don't have any paperwork proving this and the child support office said he is still responsible for it. We live in 2 different states. I have made several phone calls but not gotten anywhere yet. Should I work with the OCSE or get an attorney? I can show the thousands we've spent on my son (me and my husband now) because he is a specail needs kid. His Dad should pay half, that would be fair. What can I do?

Re: Medical Support Question

I doubt very seriously that he just up and got a lawyer and "got it changed" without your getting notice of a court proceeding. Consult with a local attorney.
