Modification of Alimony Payments

Decree issued in Ga 2000. Clause included that states no modification for either party. Drastic changes in husbands financial situation downward have caused severe financial hardship and can not possibly pay the original alimony. Lost job, 66 years old, and medications for health issues. Wife refuses to modify. Both parties live in other states, not Ga presently.

What can husband do?

Whoever wants to modify (presumably your husband) has to file in the county (and state) of her residence. He should consult with a local attorney to see if a different court would pay any attention to the "no modification" language.
