Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

The mother of my child has moved out of state without notifying the courts and refuses to let me see my son. Is she allowed to move without court permission? We were not married but I have been through the process of legitimizing him as my son. And I pay child support through the state. I used to see him every other weekend. She just up and left without any thought.

If you are legitimizing a child you need a lawyer, so if you have one he will address this and if you don't you need one immediately.

In some counties, if a case is pending, the move may violate a standing order and a judge, on proper motion, might address the issue.

Time is very important on this. You needed a lawyer yesterday to put it mildly.
