Moving dilemma

Can a non-costodial parent make the costodial parent move back to their original state of residence, after the costial parent and child have moved across the country 5 months ago? What if the costodial parent was married in the state across the country.

A court cannot compel a parent to come to Georgia. Whether they can compel a child to move (the question you likely meant to ask) depends on the exact language of the existing orders.

I agree with brother Ashman. You can't be compelled to do anything. On the other hand if you're in Iowa you're not yet a resident for purposes of jurisdiction. Until a year passes you're still under the jurisdiction of the state that granted your divorce.
