Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Removing self as secretary from husband's company.

My daughter has been married for 2 1/2 years. Her husband was in business for himself and she was listed as the secretary for the company. They are divorcing. What should she do to make sure her name is no longer a part of that company.

Contact the secretary of state's office. The corporate division should be able to handle this. Remember, she may be entitled to certain proceeds from this business sincce it would be considered marital property. She needs to keep records of her involvement so she recovers her failr portion.
