Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

If my brother has provided information to the FBI about corrupt cops and is seeking a reduction in his sentence would he need an attorney to negotiate for him or will the goverment do it automatically.

Your brother should have had a lawyer the second he knew he was in toruble, and certainly when he discussed anything with the FBI (or any law enforcement).

Any time you are conversing with law enforcement with respect to facts related to a pending or future investigation or when you are implicating yourself with respect to the commission of a crime, you need to have a lawyer present.
