Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

I was living with someone and paid half the rent. I also took care of a legal issue she had. A week later she kicks me out and is now holding my belongings until i give her more money. She originally stated I did not have to help with the utilities because i took care of her legal issue. I have gone to the police and the courts and keep getting the run around. what are my legal options? Now i am paying someone else to sleep on their couch until i can get my belongings and move.

Go to Magistrates Court (small claims) and sue for the value of your stuff.
