Re: Building a new home

If you are literally building the house yourself, you probably don't need a lawyer. However, if you are hiring a builder, you definitely need to consult with a local attorney who can review the contract and advise you about other matters, such as whether the builder has insurance.

Response to Building a new home

Your question was quite broad. Whether you need an attorney or not will be totally your decision, but if you wanted to know if it would be better to have an attorney; the answer is yes, having an attorney is usually better. Attorneys are trained to do this type of work. An attorney can review and/or draft agreements between you and the builder or whomever to make sure your interests are being served. If you still have questions or other concerns, it is best you contact an attorney for a free consultation.
