Legal Question in Personal Injury in Hawaii

Someone hit their bicycle with my truck. They admitted fault, and I made a police report. The guy agreed to pay to fix the damages. I took it to a bodyshop and got a quote for $527. I told the guy, and he said he'd only be willing to pay $250. What can I do to get the full amount? Should I take him to small claims court?

First give him one final chance to pay the $527 because often times they are trying to negotiate to see if you will take less. If he does not pay, then you can sue him in small claims court and you should prevail. However, make sure you are prepared with your evidence.
