benificiary rights

my uncle has been trustee of my father's estate & feels he isn't answerable to anyone therefore whether we agree w/his intentions or actions he does so & has kept us in the dark about all aspects of the estate. what can we do?

Re: benificiary rights

The beneficiaries have a right under the California Probate Code to request information about the trust--property, accounting & administration information.

Also, you should have received a notice from him within 60 days of the date of death which, among other things, allows you to request a copy of the trust.

If your uncle continues to be private, a letter from an attorney will probably open him up.
