can a Fl. lawyer help with a Hawaiian workmans comp. case

We live in Fl. but my husband is working in Hawaii and got injured. We believe we need a lawyer because of problems and would like to come back to mainland. he is not supposed to do his work for 3 weeks because he cut veins and his arm pretty bad. Boss wants him to work. He is on vicadin and boss don't care. Can we get help here in Florida?

Normally, the venue, or where the action must be brought, is the state where the action occurred. There are exceptions. If he was hired in Florida, and then went to work in Hawaii, then you may have a choice to bring action in either state. You need to find out what your husband's rights are under Hawaii law and see if they are better than what they would be under Fla. law, assuming he was hired in Florida. If he was not hired in Florida, then you need to contact a qualified attorney from Hawaii to handle his case. Either way, you should seek advice from a qualified attorney in Hawaii that handles workers compensation. Good luck
