Legal Question in Workers Comp in Idaho

attorneys fees

I am recieving TTD benefits from a workmans comp claim. My attorney is having my checks forwarded to his office. He is taking 25% of my weekly benefit. Is this allowed? My employer says they have not dealt with anything like this before. Can you advise me?

Thanks

Re: attorneys fees

Because every state has a different Workers' compensation Act it would be difficult to comment on whether your attorney should be taking fees on your TTD benefit. In Illinois the attorney is entitled to a fee if the TTD is being disputed. You should contact the Idaho Industrial Commission and talk to someone there.
