Disposal of assets.

What is time line of disposing any assets prior to filing bankruptcy?

The bk court will be interested in any transfers of property within the 1 year prior to filing. The trustee sho examines your case will ask about property transfers for up to 3 years. If you transfer the property for market value and not to an insider and can account for the proceeds you usually do not have much to worry about. The BK court is happy to help debtors but they want you to treat the creditors fairly. So they have a problem with transfer that smell fishy.

I charge $1500 for chapter 7 for an individual. This includes all costs. I would need $1250 to start and the balance in 30 days.
