Filing bankrupcy a second time
Can you file bankrupcy again? I did almost three years ago.
Thank you.
Re: Filing bankrupcy a second time
You can only file for chapter 7 bankruptcy once every seven years. But, you can file for relief under chapter 13. There is no time limits on filing. It is a different type of bankruptcy wherein a portion of your debts are repaid over 3 to 5 years. Please contact me to discuss your situation in more detail. ph. (800) 303-0720
Re: Filing bankrupcy a second time
You are not allowed to file another Chapter 7 within 6 years of a prior bankruptcy. You can file a Chapter 13, which will require you to make payments on your bills at a sometime reduced amount.
