Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

Harassment

To Whom It May Concern:

I filed for Bankruptcy a couple of years ago. I authorized my mother to use my Kohl's credit card so she could buy the grand-kids outfits at the store. I put this card on my bankruptcy and thought everything was fine. Two weeks later, creditors are calling my mother harassing her for payment on this card which I was totally responsible for. Is there any legal recourse? She is scared the police are going to pick her up for this dept. She's in her seventies and not in the best of health. I want this to stop immediately, but I don't know what to do? Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you for your time,

F.L.

Re: Harassment

If your mom is not on the credit card account then she does not owe the debt. However, its not clear from your email when the card was being used and you might be responsible for this debt if you were using it during your bankruptcy.
