Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

Lawyer not responding.

4 month ago I retained a lawyer to file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

I was advised by him to forward all the creditor calls to him and I did.

After 4 month I get calls from the creditors saying that my lawyer doesn't answer and that nothing has been filed.

I tryed contacting the lawyer for the past 8 days and don't get a call back.

Also the bills keep getting larger.

What are my options?

The lawyer has already been paid.

I don't know where in Illinois you are, but if you need a referral to a new attorney, I'll be happy to find you one. Did this attorney ever have you sign documents for your bankruptcy?

Get you $ back from this lawyer, and hire a new one. If you live in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, you might consider me. Otherwise, there are several competent BK lawyers around who would love to help. Good Luck with your problem.
