Using Disney mascots in business setting

Hi,

Is permission needed from Disney if one would be using the character mascots in a business setting, that is, offering a service using the mascot?

Yes, Generally you would need permission, especially if potential customers would be viewing the event. I suppose if some small internal meeting involved a parody involving the character and there was no risk of people perceiving approval by Disney (then you should run the specific example by a lawyer).

If you plan to offer a service using Disney's characters and you don't have Disney's permission to do so, expect Disney's undiluted wrath to rain down on you. Disney goes to great lengths to protect its intellectual property.
