Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I was divorced in august 2010, my exhuspand refinanced the mortgage in october 2010 in his name only. He has since defaulted on the loan and is going into forecloser. I was served court papers a few months ago, could i still be liable for the loan

You may have been included in the foreclosure action because of the marriage

but if your name is not on the deed or mortgage and you did not agree otherwise to

pay the mortgage, you are not liable. In foreclosure complaints, any related party,

including tenants, will be included in the action but are not liable.
