Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I owe a payday loan store (the payday loan store )money. i signed a wage assignment but later had it revoked. i sent the revoke letter certified mail to the company and faxed a copy to my payroll. less than a week later the loan company sent another wage assignment to my employer(now with the name the payday loan stores of illinois). can my employer honor the assignment even though i had it revoked? it is the same company they only changed the name(somewhat). i told payroll that it is the same company but they want me to fax them another revocation letter. do i have to continue to send these letters? is this legal?

Your information is insufficient and you may have to talk to an attorney. Typically assignments are irrevocable (meaning you can't just revoke them yourself) while the loan remains unpaid. So somebody will have to look at the paperwork to determine what the story is.
