Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

I have a warrant for my arrest for telephone harassment since 2009. I just found out about it when I had a criminal background check done for employment, it was listed on the background. What do I need to do to take care of this?

You can either have to have the warrant quashed and recalled or have it executed by turning yourself in and posting the bond. You will then be given a court date to address the charges. The exact procedure may differ depending on the county and state. Most lawyer will discuss this issue with you free of charge.

In many cases, if you hire an attorney to represent you in this situation the attorney will be able to take care of things so that you will not be arrested and will then either defend you on the underlying charge or negotiate a plea bargain on your behalf. In some cases you might be required to turn yourself in and post bond in order to be released from custody. I have assisted many people in this situation, and I can make it as easy as possible for you to take care of it, if the charge is pending in a jurisdiction where I practice., Please feel free to contact me for a free telephone consultation and we can determine whether or not I can help you.
