Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Illinois vehicle code

I had a dui & possession of open alcohol. Refused Breathalizer. Pled guilty to obtain court superv. which does not result in conviction. Now, I'm told, this cannot be expunged because a record must exist since it is a once in a life-time privilege and if charged again the driver abstract must reflect the court supv.. This is prejudicial w/insurance and employ- opportunities.
