Are th parents divorced? If so, the the Court Order should spell out what the rights and obligations of the parties are concening access to a childs medical condition, treatment and so forth. If there is no JUdgment in place, then generall each parent has the same rights to this information. However, the child's counselor may advise against involving the father as a part of whatever counseling is being undergone.
