Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Hello, I am 60 years old, was in a abusive marriage, have been seprated sense Oct. 2009, I don't have the money for a divorce. I have ask him to get the divorce, he has told me no and wants me to get it. I can't afford it. What can I do? He lives in Texas and I have moved back to Illionis.

There are pro se (help without an attorney) or pro bono (free help of an attorney) resources for divorces. Look up Metroplitan Legal Services. and Pro Bono Illinois. They have a good deal of pro bono/self help information.
