Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

DIVORCE ADVICE HELP !!!! 4 month baby invloved!!!

I am having huge problems w/ my husband. I found out that he uses marijuana and transports my daughter in the car with him. I fear for my daughter and want to divorce him. While I was on a business trip, he took my baby (against my wishes) to his grandmothers home (who takes 4 different meds -xanax, ambien, vicodine etc. she is in no shape to care for a child), she has a mexican nurse who doesn't speak english and may not even be a citizen from what I have heard, as well as my husbands brother is an alcoholic who have never cared for a child and drinks during the day. The home in which he takes her to is also an unsafe environment because his other brother smoke weed there These are the people he leaves my child with. I have been a nervous wreck and it affects my job. I am the bread-winner and my husband has been a struggling real estate agent who is not making any money so I need to be productive @ my job so that I can pay all of our bills. I would like to seperate from my husband because his behaviors and addiction have caused great concern for my daughter. I am a college grad who has a great job and worked very hard but I am sick of providing a home for a man who won't help me. I worry everyday about my baby! HELP ME PLEASE!

Re: DIVORCE ADVICE HELP !!!! 4 month baby invloved!!!

Good morning. These are very serious matters that you have before you. I would suggest talking to an attorney immediately to discuss your available options. In divorce and family law proceedings, the court and everyone involved is looking out for the best interests of the child. There are tools to help, such as restraining/protective orders that can be put into place quickly if the need is there. If you want to speak to our family law attorney, we offer free consultations. You can contact us by phone or email, which is in the profile attached here.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Terry Leeders
