Am i entitled to my husband police pension if i divorce.i have been married for 23 yrs.

Yes, unless you both entered into a pre-nuptial agreement prior to marrying which states otherwise. Whatever portion of your husband's pension that was accrued during your marriage would be considered marital property and subject to equitable distribution. The same would hold true of any pension or retirement benefits you earned during the marriage.

I agree with my colleague's response. But, I would like to add that going after pension funds related to a government or municipal job often require special procedures to be followed and may complicate the divorce. I would suggest that you seek the adivce of a divorce attorney as soon as possible to discuss your options.
