Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

suing the other woman in another state

My soon-to-be-ex-husband and I are going through a divorce right now. He met another woman on the internet that lives in Illinios, I live in Texas. Illinois allows people to sue for allienation of affection, but Texas does not. Do I have to be in Illinois to sue her? If so, how does that work? Thank you

Re: suing the other woman in another state

You may need to contact an Family Law attorney in Illinois. Although you may file suit for divorce in Texas, you may not include alienation of affection as a cause of action in this state. Good luck.
