Legal Question in Medical Leave in Illinois

Demoted/pay decreased while on FMLA. Is this legal?

I unfortunately suffered a skiing accident while on vacation. FMLA initiated from the date of injury. since that time, I had been demoted, learned I had also had a healthy pay decrease (not notified), my job had been posted and they hired someone into my position. My boss states she discussed the demotion with me prior to my vacation......No evidence supports her claim.

You might consider filing a complaint with the US Dept. of Labor, Wage and Hour Division.
